An artistic journey, to guide, which can be divided into at least three phases: the initial phase (1945-1959) dedicated to figurative language, followed by the season of abstract experimentation (1960-1975) characterized by a geometric-constructivist idiom; then the recovery of the figure in the period of maturity of expression (from about 1975 to present). (vintage photographs, exhibition catalogs, publications, magazines, etc..) That refer to the highlights of the artistic help, and finally a monographic section of his designs were born from a reflection on the pads stained 's main altar of the church of SS. Maria delle Grazie in Carosino (Ta).
The educational workshop
From August 27 until the end of the exhibition, the workshop "Art for Society" will be responsible for teaching children and the elderly, to be held each morning (by appointment) at the "Multipurpose Center for Seniors" by Carosino. The goal is to produce, with the exceptional cooperation of the Master Guide, deliverables that will go to join the exhibition.
An exhibition of art as experience relational
The exhibition is staged so as not to impede the activities normally carried out in the "multi-purpose center for the elderly" for this reason it was decided to retain, wherever possible, the furniture of the rooms. The'idea, indeed, is precisely to promote such activities (from tournaments tressette, crochet, homemade dinners organized by local produce, easy to find stories to tell), consider this rich social practices as a additional material exposure, which will be documented by video recordings, photographs, interviews, diary entries made by students enrolled in the workshop "Art for Society" and posted on Blog http://pietroguidaacarosino.blogspot.com/ online, created specially for the exhibition.
The exhibition catalog
The exhibition catalog will be published in significantly closing event, to be able to document, in addition to exhibits on boards with criticism, all the creative activities and social practices held during the exhibition .
